The skin is an incredible sense organ, the boundary between you and the world around you. As such it provides a lot of feedback. And that feedback is exactly what's required for ethical decision making. Without an experiential sense of what we find pleasurable and painful, we're unable to relate effectively to other people, and we put those relationships at risk. Coming back into contact with your own skin gives you a bottom-up sensate experience of being in the world the way you'd like to be.
