Even though he was "doing all the right things" it didn't add up for Dave and God was so remote to him. This is what religion was offering Dave until it came to a head on a cold January morning in Oslo when in a church he offered his life to God and was immediately surrounded by the presence of God who said "I'm taking you on". 37 years later he tells the story.
