This week Kaillie Humphries joined me on the show. There's nothing that kaillie hasn't seen or health with when it comes to competition on the ice. She's a 4x olympian winning, gold in the 2010 & 2014 Olympic games and a bronze medal in the 2018 Olympic games. She's the first female bobsledder to defend her title in two different games since Canadian figure skater Catriona Le May Doan. Kaillie has also if my numbers are correct 4 world championship titles along the way. She's a fierce competitor and highly regarded as one of the best pilots if not the best pilot to enter the sport. But Kallie's biggest battles have been off the track, she's fought for women coming in the sport now and for those who will come behind. She's been an advocate for fighting against bullies and using her voice to shine the right for equal treatment in sport for women and men and for many others. Kaillie wears her heart on her sleeves she's very passionate about her sport, her life, and people. In this episode we talk about her upbringing, winning an Olympic title on home soil in Canada, reaping the next year, how she quiets the noise around her, mentorship, leadership, how she coped with times of depression and anxiety and the decision that led her to step away from Canadian bobsled and compete for another country. and so much more. this is an episode you don't want to miss.
