Miscellaneous
Today on the show, I caught up with an old friend, endurance athlete, elite level trainer, coach, gym owner, and all round badass, Owen Gayle. We actually met back in 2012 at one of the most prestigious MMA gyms in the south of England, GYM01, where I had the pleasure to not only train with him but also watch his growth, as he climbed the professional rankings, ultimately making his way all the way to top 10 in UK and Europe. Since then he has gone on to leave fighting and start his own gym, specialising in calisthenics, sports psychology and movement. Owen has documented hours and hours of content to help guide others in their journey of health and fitness. He has a rare curiosity, for all things training, health, nutrition, and has over the years put himself in extreme physical and mental situations, just to answer the question of "what if"... On this episode we spoke about what to do when it feels like your dreams come crumbling down, what can happen in your life and business when passion and ability meet and why it's important to view negative experiences in your life through a positive lens. Owen now has his sights on breaking records in 2021 and judging by the work during his previous years, his ethics, his pace and desire to outwork himself, I have no doubt he will. His story has been full of ups and downs, and I felt fortunate to hear him talk so openly about it all. Enjoy.
