If you are nervous while speaking (especially in person), DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT!Eye contact with those you do not know will only amplify the nervousness. So what should you do?The main technique I have used to counter this nervousness but yet appear to make eye contact is to focus on a spot on the wall behind the people. As I glance over the crowd, I just look beyond them.
