Welcome to the My Gratitude Attitude Podcast!  Today I am joined by the amazing Diane Liska as she helps us distinguish the difference between burnout and compassion fatigue.  Diane is a registered Psychotherapist with a wealth of knowledge and wisdom about nervous system health. If you have ever felt overwhelmed at work, this episode is essential to gain insight and understanding about what is going on inside and when to access support. Honestly, I wish that this episode had been available to me back in 2015 when I had to go on leave from teaching due to a tapped out nervous system. We often just think that we are stressed at work but the truth is our bodies and minds are paying the price. Once we gain a better understanding of what is going on we can start to move forward to healing our stress and overwhelm and get back to doing what we do best which is teaching! Diane is a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Yoga Teacher with a private practice in Owen Sound, Ontario, offering her Yoga-Informed Psychotherapy. She also provides online consulting to support bodyworkers and other healers in navigating their own personal work to cultivate healthy therapeutic relationships, expand scope of practice and increase effectiveness in client-related work.  Diane is particularly passionate about nervous system health, healing from trauma and cultivating resiliency against compassion fatigue.
