Minket Lepcha is a storyteller, film maker, teacher & social worker from Darjeeling, West Bengal, India.  She won the Young Green Film-maker Award at the 4th Woodpecker International Film Festival for her first documentary "Voices Of Teesta" which is about Teesta river and the connection communities of the Eastern Himalayas have with the river Teesta. She studied from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in New Delhi and did a job in advertising for many years before moving back to her native place & conserving her unique culture.
