We spent three days running a trade show booth for an MSP at a dental convention in Orlando, and this vlog takes you through the whole trip. You get the setup day, a slow first day of leads, and a wild moment where two hot leads for our own MSP came in before the show even started. You also get to see what most competitor booths looked like. Empty, or staffed by people sitting down and scrolling their phones while doctors walked right past them.
By the end of three days, we walked away with 79 leads. Some were ready to buy soon. Others will take months to close, but the notes we took on each one set up the follow up plan.
If you run an MSP and are thinking about sponsoring a trade show, this video breaks down what it actually costs, how many people you need at the booth, why chairs are a bad idea, and why the real payoff comes from the follow up, not the show itself.
