Hi everyone! So it's been awhile... I took a much needed break from podcasting because #1 Eric was going on winter break and #2 I didn't have anything I wanted to talk about with that passion I usually have.... Until now :) I feel refreshed and full of this new energy that has opened my mind even more than it was before. In todays episode, I talk about why we as parents need to stop treating our kids like they're dumb, like they are too young to know or understand certain things, to have those awkward and tough conversations about every day life as an adult.... We are their teachers, their role models, the ones they look up to the most... Shouldn't we be the ones helping to prepare them as much as possible? I remember being 7/8 years old and already knowing what sex is... I remember being 12 years old and understanding that my stepdad was an alcoholic who was constantly being unfaithful to my mom.... I was 10 when I found out my brother had a different father than I did.... I was 9 when I my stepmom showed her true colors and I saw how jealous she was of the relationship I had with my dad at the time.... And the list goes on of things that I understood without any adult having a conversation with me about it. Please talk to your kids about anything and everything, you'll be surprised how smart and aware they really are.... Talk to me any time on my Instagram! I'm @allitambash and would love to have a conversation with any of you :) Xoxoxo ...
