Im aktuellen Podcast sprechen wir mit unserer Freundin der Amerikanerin Kayra Martinez, die in den letzten drei Jahren mit ihrem Kunst-Projekt "Love without borders" eine internationale Hilfsplattform (NGO) zur „Selbsthilfe mit Kunst“ geschaffen hat. Ziel ist es Flüchtlingen im Alter von 2- 60 Jahren über Kunst-Workshops oder mittels der Herausgabe von kostenlosen Kunstmaterialien an die Kunst heranzuführen. Sie schaffte es mit Hilfe dieser Plattform und in Form dieser Finanzierung Hunderten von Familien in den Lagern eine Perspektive und Kindern die nötige Hoffnung zum Weitermachen zu geben. Kunst versteht sich in diesem Zusammenhang als Medium zur Heilung, Anerkennung und Wertschätzung des Einzelnen. Die daraus entstandenen Kunstwerke wurden mittlerweile in über 210 Städten auf 4 Kontinenten gezeigt. Im letzten Herbst war Kayra mit "Love without borders" bereits mit einer Pop-Up Ausstellung zu Gast bei Urban Art Kids und ist Partner auf unserer Online Plattform sowie im Shop von Urban Art Kids. Im Rahmen von Corona hat Kayra ein Live-Event über die sozialen Medien ins Leben gerufen und stellt dort jeden Freitag Künstler aus ihrem Kunst-Projekt vor. Zudem tauschen sich die Künstler*innen untereinander über Online Workshops aus. Für die Kunden in den USA wurde eine Online-Galerie aufgesetzt um das Projekt weiterhin zu unterstützten. Auch Urban Art Kids spendet bei jedem Verkauf zwei Euro seiner Erlöse an die Organisation. Wir freuen uns auf Euer Feedback, Kommentare und das Teilen dieses Podcasts! In the current podcast we talk to our friend Kayra Martinez from the USA, who has created an international aid platform (NGO) for "self-help with art" with her art project "Love without borders" in the last three years. The aim is to introduce refugees at the age of 2-60 years to art through art workshops or the publication of free art materials. With the help of this platform and in the form of this funding, it has managed to give hundreds of families in the camps a perspective and children the hope they need to continue. In this context, art sees itself as a medium for healing, recognition and appreciation of the individual. The resulting works of art have now been shown in over 210 cities on 4 continents. Last fall Kayra was already a guest of Urban Art Kids with "Love without borders" and is a partner on our online platform and in the shop of Urban Art Kids. In the context of Corona, Kayra has launched a live event via social media and presents artists from her art project every Friday. In addition, the artists* exchange ideas with each other via online workshops. An online gallery was set up for the clients in the USA to continue supporting the project.
