Anytime we struggle with personal or professional issues, we often are looking for solutions. However, what we really want is hope. Hope that it will be fine, hope that we will feel better again and hope that all will calm down. This happens in a variety of situations including personal issues, financial problems, job stress or a relationship crisis. When you go to the doctor with symptoms of the flu you are looking to get medicine. However, after the doctor says you will be fine and to take the prescribed medicine, you start to feel better before you even leave the office. How is that possible? You did not even start the medicine. It happened because you found hope. If your relationship with your spouse is a mess and you seek couples counseling, you are looking for solutions. However, what you really want is hope. Hope that things will work out and hope that you will get back to the way things were before you started having issues. Watching programs by Dr. Wayne Dyer or Joel Osteen can provide you with a sense of hope. They have a wonderful way of sharing stories and messages that give their viewers hope. But, does hope really live outside of us? Do others give us hope or do we have hope within? The answer is that hope lives within our minds. You always had hope, you just chose to bury it with negative thoughts. No one can give us hope like they can give you a $100 dollar bill. Hope is something that you have had all along. And, you can connect to it without having to search externally for it. Go back and listen to episode #02 where I discuss The Blueprint of Coach Wherever. You will learn that hope starts with your thoughts. You will learn how to control your thoughts, emotion and behavior. You are not a victim and you have the power to live a full and happy life. You do not need to depend on anyone or anything. All you need to do is learn how to control the most powerful system in your body, your mind.
