Today we discuss Meta's new smart glasses, codenamed "Hypernova" a premium Ray-Ban edition with a heads-up display in the bottom right lens, priced between $1000-$1400 and including a neural wristband controller. We also covered the 23andMe data breach, advising users to delete their data due to the company's bankruptcy and uncertain privacy standards under new ownership. We raised about the lack of data deletion verification and the potential sale of user DNA data to the "highest bidder". Later our discussion explores the EU's Digital Markets Act violation by Meta, specifically its lack of a free, less data-intensive service option, favoring a paid "Meta Verified" program instead.
