Joining me today for the third episode in our series on maternal mental health is Gretchen Saffles! She is a wife & mother of 2 boys, a writer, speaker and an artist. She is also the founder of Well Watered Women, a company and ministry that provides beautiful tools and resources for studying God’s word and being well equipped for the calling he’s placed on each of our lives. We talk about the anxiety that she’s struggled with over the past few years and the way she’s learned to trust God, allow others to speak truth into her life and make healthy changes for herself and her family. I really admire the beautiful way that she points us back to Jesus again and again while recognizing the need we sometimes have for the help God provides through doctors and other professionals! We discuss the shame that comes with anxiety, how being aware of our limitations is important for mental health and why keeping our eyes on Jesus and being well watered truly makes all the difference in this life.
