Today we spoke with Aoife McDermott - Irish International rugby player and former Irish International basketball player. Brought to you by Hauora - a performance wellbeing growth partner. Visit www.HauoraLife.com Aoife plays rugby for Railway Union RFC, Leinster and the Ireland women's national rugby team. She represented Ireland in basketball, is a qualified special needs nurse - and works in clinical research. Aoife was a 'Living for Sport' ambassador for Sky Sports in a group that included Katie Taylor up to 2017, and it was around this time that Aoife started playing competitive rugby. Giving back, helping others and an ambitious competitive desire has been a part of McDermott's makeup for years and that shines through this interview. She was a very talented basketball player; we dive into that part of her journey, and how and why she transitioned to rugby - and the challenges and learning points that came with that. Aoife explains what she loves about rugby, and where her strengths are in the game. For those of you who love and drink sport, and are constantly striving to be better...this is one not to miss! Thanks for joining us Aoife!
