Moving overseas is difficult. Leaving the home you created overseas can be even more difficult. But you know what? You can always come back. “I knew the minute I was driving to the airport to leave I would probably come back.” In this episode, Sami and Beth talk to their friend Carson White, a Texan (Georgian?..Kansas-ian??) nurse practitioner who discusses her definition of home as someone who grew up moving around a lot as a military kid. She tells us about the audible call she heard from God on her first trip to Malawi as an undeclared college student, and how that made her want to go back and declare a major in medicine. How do you create deep friendships when you don’t know how long someone is going to be around? What part does learning the language play in helping you create deeper ties with the place you live? What does the call to come *back* to a place sound and look like after so much time? All this and more, on this Sunday’s episode of Going Home-Home. Sami Case (https://www.instagram.com/samicase) and Beth King (https://www.instagram.com/kingbeth) make this show. Kid_Wonder//Justin Lee (https://soundcloud.com/k1der/tracks)/(https://www.instagram.com/justinshungry/) makes the music.
