I’m going to explain why throwing customers into 3-way chats without warning isn’t effective.  3-way chats can provide the validation that your customer needs when used the right way. What I notice is that, in an effort to avoid feeling awkward and gaining their permission to add someone to the chat for their expertise...team members will just bring the “expert” in -- like setting them up on an awkward blind date that they don’t even know they are going on!!! What kind of impression does that make? And how does that make the customer feel about their relationship with you? C - ConversationsI’ll give you questions and verbiage to use when you want to include a customer on a 3-way chat -- focused on building connection and trust!! Of course, you can make these your own.
