WHAT TIME IS IT? 1/2 In this episode we're talking  about the implications of the time we're living in and how ignorance is  and has affected and shaped our perspectives and consequently influences  our actions. INSTANT GRATIFICATION There’s a great illustration of people queuing, one line is long and is assigned to people who want change and the other assigned to people who “want to” change. And as you might have guessed, its empty. Thing is, we want change but change is usually a result of a process that starts with us. “A process” meaning, it takes time. It’s a process that results in gratification that is sustainable but it’s not instant. As for our generation and the following, we are at a disadvantage if I may say, because we are growing up in a period where instant gratification is celebrated and even the smart” tech that we have embraces and gravitates towards this phenomenon NEVER BE CONTENT CULTURE We are living in a time where there's a system that has set up a culture to always want more, we want the latest release of phones, to drive the latest car and own the biggest and lavish house in the market. This culture has played a huge and terrible role in destroying the moral fiber of not only believers but our society as a whole. Hence, we find ourselves even as people willing to compromise our morals, values and ethics to “get ahead in life” Another result of this is evident on our social media platforms, Go to Facebook, Instagram and so forth, it’s clear that WE ATTACH OUR VALUE TO MATERIALISTIC “HAVES”, hence we spend so much money trying to portray ourselves as people who have it all.
