Here's the # 1 tip for guys striving to become more confident & disciplined ? I'll get straight to the point since I know you clicked the "More" button because this matters to you. First, DISCLAIMER: Results will vary in direct proportion to the level of YOUR desire to stop feeling like you're an inadequate and unreliable man. Okay, now that we got that out of the way, I want to tell you this simple principle that I've applied in my own life over the last decade, & that military Generals have attested to intentionally applying in their lives. You ready? In order to become a more confident and disciplined person, & to be known by others as someone who is self-reliant and dependable you MUST surround yourself with the people who CHALLENGE you to be better. Sounds simple enough, right? Then why aren't all men doing it? And you might say, "well, I am!" But bro, are you really? Are you really being purposeful about surrounding yourself with people BECAUSE they challenge you? Or, are you stuck in the default mode of surrounding yourself with people just like you? Because if you are going to tell me that you have been surrounding yourself with people who are truly challenging you, but you're still dealing with feelings of incompetence & inadequacy, then I am forced to question the intentionality of those relationships or the integrity of those people. I'm also forced to remind you of that old adage that says "you become like the people you surround yourself with." Right about now you should be asking yourself, "who in my phone book can I actually count on being there to sharpen me?" (You may not have used those exact words, but it's all the same) Bro, for the sake of your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health, I sincerely pray that you have at least ONE person that you can reach out to right now. But in case you don't, I would hate to leave you so exposed without also offering an opportunity to connect with a genuine community of like-minded Christian men.
