Today, we have Michael Garlington on the Photographer In Focus show. He shares his journey of becoming a true working photographic artist, and the how and why he calls himself an "artist" rather than a "photographer." Michael is one of the artist that bring the world class large scale art pieces to Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert. If you know some of the art from the playa, he brought us 2012's EGO and 2013's PhotoChapel both ceremoniously burned to the ground. We explore Mike's journey from learning how he became such a prolific Black and White photographic printer, to how he attracted his subjects for portraits by creating a moving billboard of his work and driving across America.
